We have another finalist GRACE FLEMING for ‘Student of the Year’
Leicester Mercury Education 2018 award!

Grace’s friends nominated her for ‘Student of the Year’ for her determination through her exams, coping with the news that her mum had terminal cancer a week before exams started. Grace coped so well, but her mum unfortunately died the first week of the school holidays. She was desperate to live long enough to see her daughter get her results but sadly she didn’t.

Grace even commenced NCS days after her mum died – only missed one day, the day of the funeral.

Mrs Fleming even dragged herself out of hospital to see Grace go to prom,
a memory family and friends will never forget.

How fantastic it is for Grace’s friends to champion her and all that she has gone through in such a brave way, recognising how determined Grace was to do her best, she never made excuses.
This is what true achievement is.

Our campus really does have students with excellent values to be proud of,
who really do live your school ethos.
